Alejandro Lopez is a graduate research assistant and PhD candidate at The University of Texas at Austin, conducting interdisciplinary research between the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering and the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory. He holds a BSc degree in petroleum engineering and chemical engineering. His current research focuses on the modeling and interpretation of nuclear well logs, radiation transport modeling, and the integration of nuclear measurements for advanced petrophysical evaluation and reservoir characterization for underground hydrogen storage.
